Back To School - School Uniforms
In Quebec, school already started this week. When I walk to work in the morning to my building in Gatineau, I pass by a Catholic all-girls school and have seen the young girls dressed in their school uniforms going back to school. Their uniforms consist of kilts and white shirts. It made me remember having to wear a uniform to grade school when I was little. I hated it - it was a dull grey jumper and a white blouse. Even then I was rebellious and tried to find ways to not have to wear it. But when I look back on it now, it wasn't so bad. Don't I look glum in this old photo of me in my uniform?

You appear ready to take your vows. The grey jumper isn't so bad though but I'm sure you hated it as much as I hated my navy tunic. And yet there's a lot to be said for school uniforms.
I had to wear a navy tunic. One of them had a v-neck and I loved it. The others had square necks and pleats. I kinda like your grey one!
I remember these uniforms also. They didn't last very long as they were expensive and I remember our mother saying she paid a fortune to have them made - not fair to the kids that couldn't afford. Also I remember them being more blue than gray and I didn't mind wearing mine so much. But of course I wanted to be a nun anyway:-)
Hahahaha! You look THRILLED to be in that outfit! :) What a great photo.
